We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Oso is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and heartworm negative. Weight: 55 lbs Height: 20 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Oso would love a home where he is able to have an outdoor space to play fetch. He will return a ball endlessly. He has never been in a house with a cat. He has been in a house with toddlers and babies and was more than loving to them. Oso loves to be rubbed on his head and to sit next to his people. What is my personality like? Oso loves attention. He will sit next to you on the couch and flop on over to show you his tummy hoping for belly rub. He will bring his toys and set them in front of you hoping for a game of fetch. He grows attached to a single person at a time and is very loyal. In the house Oso will bark out of excitement for new people knocking at the door but calms down quick. Meeting new people in an outdoor setting he interested but less excited. He gets use to a routine of activity and people. Oso will counter surf and pull food from the counter when you are not looking. He will guard the bag of dog food when it comes in, from other dogs, from the store until you have opened it and fed him from it. Then he stops guarding the food. He will also guard food that he has taken from the counter. He does not guard food from humans or kids just from other dogs. Oso is good on leach and will heel next to you looking up for your approval, until he sees another dog then he will forget all of that and bark his head off. He is great at dog parks around other dogs when he is off leash. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Oso is 8.5 years old. We celebrate his birthday as 10/1/2013. Oso is good with dogs of all sizes and cats. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
