| Overview: | The Puli has a beautiful corded coat. A medium sized breed, it was bred to herd and this shows through its energetic personality. |

| Coat: | Hair is dense and weatherproof; outer coat wavy or curly, undercoat soft and wooly; correct proportion of each creates the desired cords. |
| Character: | Pulis make fine watch dogs and hunting dogs - and do well living in remote areas. |
| Temperament: | This breed is a cheerful little dog that is loyal to a family. They are excellent family dogs and adapt to most surroundings and circumstances. Though wary of strangers, this breed is never aggressive. They are not recommended for small children. |
| Care: | The Puli requires special grooming. The cords should be separated manually on a regular basis. Before working with the coat, wet the hair. Bathing may take up to two hours and the hair should be well dried afterwards. As well as corded, its nonshedding coat can be brushed; if brushed, it needs brushing every one to two days. |
| Training: | This breed is very intelligent, but may become bored during training sessions. Therefore, a non-repetitive approach usually works best. |
| Activity: | The Puli is very energetic and needs daily vigorous exercise. |
