Posted Breed: Doberman Pinscher (short coat). Adoption Fee: $350. New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!! Aspen is doing well! Not only is she soooo beautiful, she can be such a sweetie pie! She is Velcro to her foster mom much of the day and loves to cuddle. She is soooo smart, she has learned to sit, go sit by the door (her potty cue), she is starting to learn "wait" , "come" & "stay" and just recently she started responding to shake! She loves to play with her foster bro and can get so excited to just run around with him. She is learning that she can't always be queen of the castle and needs to be nice when he also tries to come close to me for rubs. She definitely loves chew toys, but needs to be reminded that certain things like shoes are not hers to chew. She is good with kids. She is very slowly warming up to "foster dad", we see tiny bits of progress every day. It has been nice to see her licking his hand and even letting him pet her a bit. Aspen would do better with just women, but can possibly tolerate a man. She can still be nervous in new situations and around new people or animals, so we have to be cautious about introductions, but it seems she is attentive to foster mom for cues on if the situation is ok/safe and she seems to be able to be calmed/distracted before she gets too agitated. Aspen needs a home that will be patient and understanding with her and will earn her trust through calmness, dependability and most importantly lots of love!!! This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog.
