    Breed: Labradoodle
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (long coat). Adoption Fee: $200. Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known. Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available. Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes? Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email. We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Date into Rescue: 2/24/2018 Reason for being in rescue: Seized in neglect case, GA shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? partially blind Weight: 28 lb Height: est 20 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No, but will need practice with a leash. What kind of home would be best for me? Grumpy came from a not so good past, she was seized with several others due to a neglect case. This girl has been through a lot, she still has things to learn about being loved and being apart of a family. Owner Experience 4: Experienced dog owner. This will be your second or third dog, but have had no behavioral or medical challenges to work with. What is my personality like? Grumpy isn't so "grumpy" at all! Out of the group of dogs she came in with, she is the sweetest! She has came a long way since she has been here with us at the farm. She came in scared and hiding in the back of her crate (like her other siblings) to a curious and playful little girl. Grumpy is a mixture of calm and playfulness. She enjoys being active and silly but she also loves to sit quietly next to someone and having her back scratched. She doesn't know any basic commands yet but she will stand on her back legs and beg if you have treats! How do I act when I first meet new people? Shy, friendly. Other tips and tidbits: House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

    Komondor

    rescue
    Breed: Labradoodle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed (medium coat). Update 5/31/18 from foster home: Komondor was taken home by one of our volunteers to assess him in a home. This is an update from the written profile below: "What a sweet boy. He does not act like his initial write up. He listens very well and walked great on a leash this morning. He pulls a little, but stopped when I brought his attention to it. He is very worried about where I am at all times and gets a little jealous, but I correct him as soon as it happens. I have kept a close eye on him since they were outside for so long, but he has not lifted his leg in the house yet. He is much better behaved than my dogs. ~ Kristy" FOR ADOPTION! Note: Only those with a responsible dog ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply. (For more pics, visit nr2r.petfinder.com or www.RoadtoRescueLA.org) INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY: PLEASE read profile thoroughly BEFORE applying: DOG APPLICATION LINK: http://www.roadtorescuela.org/dog-application Komondor (male) Intake date: 5/19/2018 Labradoodle (Labrador Retriever/Standard Poodle mix) DOB April 2012 57.8 pounds Adoption fee: $200, which includes microchip and enrollment fee Good with other dogs: yes Cats: unsure Vetting: altered (spayed/neutered), UTD on shots, heartworm negative, fecal positive for hooks (treated and cleared), Bravecto (3 month flea preventive – good until 8/22/2018), microchipped Health issues: none found Temperament: Sweet, but needs training/focus Energy level: Medium-high; needs active home with active family; he is not an overly hyper dog Groom needs: High; requires professional groom every few weeks (they came to us VERY matted, overgrown and unkempt; Labradoodles are high-maintenance dogs!) Biography: Komondor and Puli came to us as owner-surrenders due to a family tragedy. They had been severely neglected in the last year or so of their lives. They came to us matted, overgrown and unkempt. We will require that they go to a home that has the means, mindset and ability to provide one-on-one attention and time to them as they have not had much of that for a long time. We will NOT be adopting them out together. They need individual attention. They spent the first years of their life indoors and the last year or so outdoors. This is NOT what we want for them. They are to be INDOOR dogs! They are not be thrown in a backyard and forgotten! Komondor is a sweet dog, but needs focus and training. He is a bit jumpy on a leash and tries to bite the leash. We don’t think he’s been on a leash enough to know what it is. His attention span is low, but he is treat motivated so he would be easily trained in the RIGHT HANDS! Even though we don’t guarantee that any of our dogs are housetrained, we find that big dogs are easily housetrained. Prior to becoming an outdoor dog, he was housetrained. Do NOT apply if you don’t have the time to spend with him; do NOT apply if you can’t make a commitment to him; do NOT apply if you cannot provide a safe, stable, loving FOREVER home where he will be an indoor dog and part of the family. Labradoodles are cool and everyone wants one... but they are not the right dog for everyone. Please read up on this mixed breed before applying. We welcome applications from experienced Labradoodle owners! **IMPORTANT NOTES** *We do adopt out of state provided the adopter is willing and able to travel to us once approved. We do not ship or transport our animals and there is no exception to this rule. *We only rehome our dogs to adopters that plan to have them as inside dogs and part of the family! We do allow adopters with doggie doors, provided there is SECURE fencing. There is no exception to this rule! *NO SMALL CHILDREN!! As with almost all the dogs at NR2R, young children or a very active household is not recommended. Many of our dogs come to us BECAUSE of small children, thus we do not rehome our dogs to homes with babies or young children. KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU HAVE VISITING GRANDCHILDREN AS WELL! Even if the children are older, it would depend on the child AND the parent or parents. *HOUSETRAINING: We do NOT guarantee that any of our adoptable dogs are housetrained. Even if they were surrendered to us as housetrained, it doesn’t mean they will automatically be housetrained in your home. Housetraining them should be easy in the right home with time, patience, and consistency. *We do not guarantee the age, health or temperament of any of the dogs we rehome. *Only adopters with a responsible dog ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply. If you bring this pet into your heart and home, you will receive in return many years of love, companionship, and loyalty. That’s our guarantee. Other notes: This pet is available for adoption through Ninna’s Road to Rescue, Benton, La. We are 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to rescue small-breed dogs and a handful of cats and to re-home them into RESPONSIBLE and CARING forever homes. DOG APPLICATION LINK: http://www.roadtorescuela.org/dog-application Time may be of the essence if you are looking to adopt a specific animal. We do not reserve animals, unless and until we have approved your application, provided the animal is still available at the time we receive your application. The first APPROVED application we receive will be considered. We are NOT a first come, first serve rescue!! We adopt our rescues out to the RIGHT home, not just A home. Only responsible pet owners need apply. Applying to adopt does NOT commit you to the adoption until you’ve met the pet (unless you already have and know you want to adopt the pet). CONTACT: Our adoptable pets are updated regularly, but if you want to check the availability of a pet... OR still have questions AFTER reading this profile, message us via our Facebook page. Please indicate the name when communicating with us. www.RoadtoRescueLA.org

Doc was seized in neglect case and taken to the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? skin issues Weight: 30 lbs Height: unknown Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $249 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Doc is still learning what it means to be someone's pet. He needs an experienced owner that will work with him to teach him basic commands, reward him with lots of positive affirmations, and give him the time and support he needs to blossom into the dog he can be. What is my personality like? Seven dogs were seized in a neglect case and brought to Carolina Poodle Rescue. As there were seven, they were named for the seven dwarfs--this is Doc. None of the dogs had had much medical care before coming to Carolina Poodle Rescue. We think that none of them had ever been inside a house before either. All of the dogs from this situation were listed as miniature labradoodles. Doc is a sweet older guy who can still play like a puppy. He has a great temperament and personality in spite of being neglected for much of his life. In a home with a person or people to love him and provide him with stability and training, he would finally know what it's like to be part of a family. Imagine how he might blossom then! He already knows how to be clean in his crate which is a big step toward housetraining. Doc can be slightly dog selective but he gets a long really well with most dogs. He isn't food aggressive and knows how to politely take a treat when one is offered. We estimate Doc to be around 11 years old but don't tell him that! He doesn't know that he's an older guy. He still has a lot of playfulness in him and is ready to enjoy a whole new life! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: House trained? We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team Just a lost soul swimming in a fish bowl. Date into Rescue: Originally 3/29/16 and he was returned December 2017 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release due to a change in the owner's life Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Yes - behavior. Oliver was adopted in May of 2016 but returned to us primarily for biting several people. He was so friendly when he was first here; we are not really sure why this changed happened in Oliver. He needs someone to understand him. He does not like being bothered while in his crate. To him that is his space and no one else's. He WILL warning growl at you while in his crate to let you know he does not want to be bothered. He also does not like anyone messing with his food. If he is not familiar with you, then he does not like you being in his face. He needs his trust earned before you go romp and play in the fields with him. Oliver has not bitten anyone at our rescue, but he has shown his teeth and snapped when engaging in play with a caregiver he isn't familiar with. With the caregivers he is familiar with he is his normal sweet and silly self outside of his crate. He eventually turns into a dog that loves attention, baby talk, and playing. Weight: 53 lb Height: About 24 in at the shoulder Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? Yes What kind of home would be best for me? Oliver needs an all adult home that has a soft spot for troubled souls and is familiar with moody dogs. What is my personality like? Oliver is a mocking bird, if you are quiet and reserved, he is also quiet and reserved. If you are rough and running around, he is also rough and running around. He notices everything and is very curious. He is extremely loving and playful. Oliver's personality really depends on you. He loves to be a couch potato but he will also go for a long run when you want to. Oliver knows how to sit, shake, and lay down (with a reward of a treat of course! :) ) He loves to go for long walks beside you and then roll around in the grass on his back. How do I act when I first meet new people? Oliver was originally very loving and affectionate to people, but he is no longer as open to strangers and needs patience. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.
