Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Winston is a 4ish year old Pyrenees/Aussie/Kelpie/Staffy/Chow mix that is looking for his furever home!! He is a super sweet, somewhat bossy, affectionate, goofy, and would love a nice yard to roam in and humans that will provide mental and physical stimulation for him! He would also LOVE a human that would continue on with the positive reinforcement training he is accustomed to! Winston has some needs (hey, don't we all ‍) For instance, he will need an experienced human that is familiar with the Pyrenees/herding breeds and their temperaments. He also loves to bark as his communication style. Have food he wants? He barks to let you know you should share it. Have company he feels should be petting him? He barks or places himself in their space to know their hands are idle and could be petting him. If you are noise sensitive, he is not the dog for you as he enjoys communicating with humans via barking. His personality is strong and adorable, and he enjoys being near his humans. Winston does like to assume the protective job of the house, but can be redirected when given the guidance. Can be dog selective, no kids, unless your child is over the age of 10 and aware of appropriate behavior towards dog (meaning no hugging him while he is sleeping or eating, no taking food or toys from him) EXPERIENCED HUMANS ONLY that are willing to maintain and continue all of the positive reinforcement training his current fosters have worked hard on doing with him. We are hoping to get him into a home best suited for him He is a sweet, lovable, dog that was really responsive to what I was asking of him Adoption Deposits are accepted now on all dogs. An adoption application online is required prior to viewing our dogs. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adopters can go to our vet for medical issues that may arise in 1st 3 days of adoption. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up at our adoption events, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
