Whatever's been done to Sky must have been horrific. She arrived absolutely terrified of humans and canines alike. Our guess is she was a puppy mill breeding dog who had minimal to no socialization with humans. It's taken a lot of time, love, calm atmosphere and patience to get her where she is today but she has made great progress! Sky will never be a confident dog, but we do think she can flourish in the right environment. She absolutely needs a calm household. Children overwhelm her. She'd do best in a home that has a confident dog to help guide her/show her the way. She doesn't play with other dogs but will observe. A fenced yard is necessary. Sky could be a flight risk after a transition so walking her in a fenced yard is ideal. She is crate trained, mostly housebroken and seems food motivated. She adores her foster Dad as you can see in this video: .facebook/HuskyRescueTeam/posts/1094750387685049 Although she's skittish, she's actually a fairly easy pup because she doesn't ask for much. Sky is approximately 1 year old, spayed, current on vaccines and we have treated her for heartworms. Her adoption area is NJ to GA and can be extended for the right home. .huskyrescueteam ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home.
